Overview
The Specialty Doctor for West EIP Team will be committed to working with young people with mental ill health and neurodevelopmental conditions as well as provide a central role within an MDT context in delivering psychiatric assessment and treatment for a caseload of patients and their families. The post holder will also contribute to providing psychiatric and medical risk management.

Core Responsibilities
- Provide direct psychiatric services through clinical assessment, diagnosis, care plan, risk assessment and management plans, treatment formulation, prescribing and work with the team on implementing evidence based interventions.
- Hold a caseload of patients and review them at a frequency according to clinical need and risks, working alongside Consultants and the multidisciplinary team.
- Participate in formulating and implementing appropriate care plans around physical healthcare needs of service users and provide mental health assessments on both new referrals and open cases.
