About the role:

We are looking for a Safeguarding Information Officer to join our team and play a key role in protecting our customers and supporting safe, effective service delivery. As our Safeguarding Information Officer, you will be the first point of contact for safeguarding concerns, coordinating the triage, screening, and progression of referrals. You will ensure accurate information handling, maintain audit‑ready records, and support the Safeguarding Lead in delivering a responsive, high‑quality safeguarding service.

You will work closely with colleagues across Housing Operations, gaining exposure to a wide range of services while helping to ensure cases are managed efficiently and professionally.

The role is based in our Northampton office with hybrid working arrangements of 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home available if required.

Responsibilities include:

  • Logging, screening and coordinating safeguarding referrals.
  • Managing case activity, tracking progress and escalating concerns where required.
  • Maintaining accurate CRM (Customer Relation Management) records, documentation, and meeting packs.
  • Coordinating information sharing with external partners in line with data protection requirements.
  • Supporting field‑based teams with meetings, documentation, and follow‑up.
  • Managing the safeguarding inbox and contributing to compliance, audits, and reporting.
  • Assisting with safeguarding communications, campaigns, and partnership initiatives.
  • Providing guidance to colleagues on reporting processes and safeguarding best practice.

About you

  • Experience in coordination, administration, or roles involving sensitive/confidential information.
  • Understanding of safeguarding principles and ability to identify and upscale risks.
  • Strong organisational skills and confidence working in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and accurate record‑keeping.
  • Proficiency with CRM/case management systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work professionally with internal teams and external agencies.
  • Strong understanding of confidentiality, information governance and data protection.
  • Experience in safeguarding, welfare, risk assessment or multi‑agency work.
  • Knowledge of domestic abuse, Prevent Duty or community safety.
  • Understanding of social housing or community‑based services.
  • Experience supporting campaigns, reviews or governance activities.
  • Awareness of trauma‑informed practice.
