Role: Electrical Design Engineer
Office Location:Birmingham
Salary: GBP 55,000 : GBP 60,000
The key responsibilities of the Electrical Design Engineer role will be:
: Prepare and configure both standard and custom electrical wiring drawings, along with complete Bills of Materials (BOMs).
: Ensure all designs comply with relevant regulatory, design, and testing requirements.
: Produce design documentation including drawings, calculations, and technical specifications.
: Collaborate with suppliers to ensure delivered solutions meet required performance standards.
: Provide technical guidance and promote best practices in industrial control panel design.
: Maintain compliance with applicable design and testing standards throughout project lifecycles.
: Develop and support test rigs, simulation models, and prototype control systems.
: Generate safety approval and sign:off documentation.
: Perform calculations in line with applicable standards (e.g. BS EN 13849) and demonstrate a strong understanding of relevant electrical standards (e.g. IEC 60204)
The key requirements of the Electrical Design Engineer will be:
: Proficiency in electrical design software such as AutoCAD Mechanical/Electrical and EPLAN.
: Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
: Solid understanding of industrial electrical systems and control panel design.
: Familiarity with relevant safety and compliance standards.
: HND or Degree qualified is preferred
