The Sprout School is a UK-based organization dedicated to providing safeguarding-first online alternative educational provision for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) or those in alternative provision (AP) unable to access mainstream education. We support Local Authorities, schools, and PRUs in facilitating fast, reliable, and personalized placements for students facing challenges such as SEMH, anxiety, or low engagement. With SEN-specialist educators, tailored learning plans, and a structured online environment, our mission is to ensure safe, consistent, and meaningful learning experiences to foster student confidence and academic progress. Located in Birmingham, our focus is on meeting the unique needs of each student while supporting commissioning bodies with tools such as attendance and progress reporting aligned with EHCP outcomes.
Role Description:
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Birmingham for a Full Stack Web Developer. The selected candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining dynamic web applications to support the digital infrastructure of The Sprout School. The stack is Moodle on AWS, Zoom, Stripe, GoCardless, and Power BI. You will be the only technical person on the team initially, which means real ownership from day one — no tickets, no layers, no waiting for approval.
