Cardiff University’s Welsh School of Architecture is seeking a motivated Research Assistant to support delivery of the MACC Hub flexible-fund project “Co-designing Climate Adaptation for Anglesey with People with Learning Disabilities”.
The candidate will work with Dr Satish BK, Dr Simon Lannon and project partners to coordinate activities, monitor progress, and support high-quality, inclusive research that informs practice and policy on climate adaptation and overheating.
Key tasks will include:
- coordinating partner and steering-group meetings
- maintaining a delivery plan (milestones, risks, actions)
- supporting ethics and safeguarding processes
- coordinating the logistics of home monitoring (e.g., sensors for temperature/humidity/CO2) and associated documentation
- supporting data management (secure storage, file organisation, basic cleaning)
- assisting with the collation and formatting of research outputs (toolkit, briefing notes, dissemination materials).

Person Specification
The ideal candidate will have experience studying Architecture, Built Environment, Environmental Science, Geography, Social Science, or a closely related discipline. PGT/PGR Studentsare particularly welcome to apply as this role may suit the skills developed over your studies. The candidatewill have strong organisational skills and confidence working with multiple stakeholders (community organisations, creative practitioners, local authority and housing partners). You should be reliable, well-organised, and able to work independently, with excellent communication skills.
- Some travel to Anglesey and occasional short-notice meetings may be required (planned in advance wherever possible). Please confirm in your application your general weekly availability between20/04/2026 and30/11/2026.
