Operations Manager MSC
As part of Mitie Cleaning & Environmental Services, the Operations Manager MSC leads operational delivery across designated regions, ensuring service excellence, strong financial performance, and effective team leadership across specialist and general cleaning operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead operational delivery, ensuring high-quality cleaning services and strong customer satisfaction.
- Line-manage team leaders and operational teams, providing coaching, feedback and development support.
- Ensure KPI, SLA and compliance requirements are consistently met across all contracts.
- Maintain strong financial management including labour planning, P&L awareness and cost control.
- Coordinate subcontractor activity, ensuring efficient and compliant service delivery.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted main point of contact.
- Champion system adoption including Servicetrac, CASH and WP+ for performance and reporting.
- Support growth opportunities, retention activities and new service line development.
Person Specification
- Strong understanding of Health, Safety, Environment and Quality systems.
- Proven leadership experience managing dispersed operational teams.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to support budgeting and financial reviews.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and build relationships.
- Problem‑solving ability with a proactive, organised working style.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.

- Follow all Group and company H&S procedures and use all equipment safely.
- Report hazards, incidents, deficiencies or training needs promptly.

- Comply with Mitie information security procedures and report risks or incidents immediately.
