We’re looking for a proactive and detail‑driven Airfreight Compliance Manager to join our team at Heathrow. Sitting at the heart of our warehouse and transport operations, you will play a vital role in ensuring full compliance across Aviation Security, Health & Safety, HMRC ETSF requirements and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain full compliance with Aviation Security regulations, acting as site lead for CAA correspondence, inspections and training.
  • Oversee staff AvSec training, screening compliance, CCTV reviews and ongoing record management.
  • Lead HMRC ETSF compliance, ensuring accurate record creation, status control and bonded goods release.
  • Drive Health & Safety standards through risk assessments, safety tours, investigations and audits.
  • Support ISO accreditations, document control and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manage facilities compliance including planned and reactive maintenance, contractor control and statutory checks.
  • Deliver safety inductions and support training for warehouse and transport staff.
  • Promote a culture of best practice, challenging unsafe behaviours and guiding teams on compliance.
  • Report daily, weekly and monthly compliance findings, risks and actions to management.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong understanding of AvSec regulations, HMRC ETSF rules, H&S legislation and quality standards.
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to spot risks early and maintain accurate records.
  • Confident decision‑maker with sound judgement in safety‑critical situations.
  • Skilled communicator able to influence teams and work effectively with regulators, SHEQ, HR and operations.
  • Organised and reliable, able to manage multiple audits, checks and reporting deadlines.
  • Calm, resilient and professional when under pressure or facing regulatory scrutiny.
  • A proactive mindset focused on continuous improvement and problem‑solving.
