Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Quantity Surveyor based in Oswestry. The Quantity Surveyor will manage project costs, prepare contracts and tenders, assess project risks, and ensure financial control throughout the construction process. Responsibilities include conducting cost analysis, preparing valuations, overseeing procurement, and interfacing with clients, contractors, and project teams to ensure projects are completed within budget and with cost efficiency. Regular reporting and effective communication with stakeholders will be key components of the role.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in cost analysis, estimating, and project financial management
- Strong understanding of construction contracts, tenders, and procurement processes
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients, contractors, and team members
- High attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks
- Proficiency in relevant Quantity Surveying software and tools
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field
- Relevant certifications or professional memberships (e.g., RICS or CIOB) are a plus
- Experience in the civil engineering and construction sector preferred
