This is an exciting opportunity to join Deloitte for an engagementwith a leading global investment banking and asset management client.
Operationsis a dynamic, multi-faceted division that partners with all parts of the firmto deliver banking, sales and trading and asset management capabilities toclients around the world. In addition, Operations provides essential riskmanagement and control to preserve and enhance the firm’s assets and itsreputation. For every trade agreed, every new product launched, or marketentered, every transaction completed, it is Operations that develops theprocesses and controls that makes business flow.
The Operations Client Service Team represents operations to ourclients and internal stakeholders such as Portfolio Management. Tasked with theoversight of all operational functionals the role includes touchpoints withmultiple stakeholders including the underlying client, external counterpartiessuch as the Custodian, Client Relationship Managers and Traders. The team alsoworks with Lead Portfolio Managers and other internal business teams to managechanges to existing client portfolio investments and resolve any queries thatmay arise.
Key Responsibilities:
The candidate will be responsible for performing a broad array ofinitiatives, including the following:
- Representoperations to our clients and other stakeholders, both internally andexternally.
- Work withPortfolio Managers and internal teams to coordinate and project managechanges to existing portfolios.
- Develop anunderstanding and become a subject matter expert of the multi-asset classinvestment process, including operational requirements
- Collaborate withinternal business groups, internal operations teams, external managers,custodian banks, and MAS clients to streamline the investment process andoperational support for our clients.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Must haveexperience within Asset Management Operations at a Junior Level (up to c2years’ experience)
- Strong projectmanagement skills including ability to organise and track multipleprojects in parallel, delivery on tight timelines, and a hands-on approachto resolving issues
- Must be able tohandle multiple, complex tasks, prioritise effectively and be flexible asneeds change
- Excellentcommunication skills (including written, verbal, and presentation)
- Highly organised,with attention-to-detail and excellent follow-through
- Ability to workwell in a fast-paced team environment and demonstrate a high level ofself-motivation
- Ability to manageconcurrent assignments in an effective and efficient manner
