Overview
A world leader in analytical instrumentation is seeking an accomplished, ambitious, and commercially astute account manager or business development specialist. The role also welcomes an experienced analytical chemist looking to transition into a commercial sales position.
Responsibilities
Acting as the region’s Business Specialist, you will predominantly sell chromatography systems – HPLC/UHPLC, GC, and mass spectrometry instruments along with associated detectors (UV, DAD, ECD, FID, etc.). You will conduct the entire sales process: identifying leads, account‑managing prospects, providing quotes, and closing sales. Participation in high‑profile industry conferences and international travel when required is also part of the role.
Qualifications
- Previous sales experience with a strong understanding of analytical chromatography.
- Knowledge of HPLC is required; expertise in mass spectrometry is highly advantageous but not essential.
- Candidates currently selling related scientific products – office or field‑based – are encouraged to apply.
- Candidates with a hands‑on laboratory background in LC, GC, LC/MS, GCMS may also apply, provided they explain their interest in sales and reasons for a career change.

This is a home‑based role with expectations to travel to local customer sites 3–4 days per week. A company car, phone, and laptop are provided.
