Hybrid role – Central London three days and WFH two days each week
We are exclusively recruiting a Finance Associate (AP/AR) for a high-performing business operating in a premium, experience-led environment.
Defined by discretion, precision and exceptional standards, this organisation delivers highly curated experiences to an international, high-net-worth client base. With a strong reputation already established, the business is now entering an exciting new chapter and requires a detail-driven Finance Associate to support the integrity and performance of the finance function.
This is a hands-on role at the centre of the day-to-day finance operation – ensuring accuracy, consistency and control across all transactional processes, while contributing to a disciplined and well-run finance environment.
Working closely with the Head of Finance and alongside multiple internal teams, you’ll play a key role in maintaining financial rigour as the business continues to scale.
We’re looking for someone who takes genuine pride in precision, operates with a high level of ownership, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced, detail-critical environment.
The role
You’ll support the smooth running of the finance function, taking ownership of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes with a focus on accuracy, timeliness and control.
A key part of this role is maintaining clean, reliable financial data – ensuring all transactions are processed correctly, reconciled thoroughly, and aligned across systems.
You’ll manage supplier relationships, oversee invoice processing and payment cycles, and ensure any discrepancies are resolved efficiently and professionally.
On the receivables side, you’ll oversee invoicing workflows, monitor outstanding balances and support credit control, working closely with commercial teams to ensure consistency and timely collection.
You’ll take ownership of reconciliations across bank accounts, credit cards and supplier statements, supporting month-end close and contributing to the accuracy of financial reporting.
You’ll also act as a key point of contact for finance queries, communicating clearly and confidently with both internal stakeholders and external partners.
Detail-focused and proactive, you’ll contribute to ongoing process refinement, helping to ensure the finance function evolves in line with the wider growth of the business.
Essential experience we’re looking for
- Proven experience in an AP/AR, accounting or bookkeeping role (circa 3+ years)
- Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping and core accounting principles
- Experience using Xero (or similar accounting software)
- Confident managing reconciliations, invoicing and payment cycles
- Strong Excel / Google Sheets capability
- Experience operating within a fast-paced, high-performance environment
- Exposure to month-end processes and reporting support
- AAT qualified or studying, or part-qualified CIMA/ACCA preferred
- Exceptional attention to detail and organisational discipline
- Clear, professional and confident communication skills
- Comfortable working independently while contributing to a small, collaborative team
- Proactive, reliable and solutions-oriented mindset
Most importantly: you bring a meticulous approach to your work, a strong sense of ownership, and an appreciation for quality, discretion and high standards in everything you do.
