Robotic Systems Software Control Developer

Location: Macclesfield, Cheshire

Salary: £40,000 – £65,000 per annum (DOE) + Excellent Benefits

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented and hands-on Software Developer to join a growing, innovative technology business at the forefront of robotic systems development. You will play a key role in developing software that directly controls advanced robotic systems, ensuring they perform precise and complex tasks required by global customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Hardware and software integration
  • Motion control and sequencing development
  • Computer vision implementation
  • Rapid prototyping and system testing
  • Developing control systems for robotic testing equipment
  • Leading or contributing to independent development projects

About You

You are a practical, hands-on developer with a passion for solving complex problems and working closely with hardware. You enjoy both teamwork and independent project ownership, and thrive in a dynamic, evolving environment.

You will also demonstrate:

  • Strong problem-solving ability and creative thinking
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Adaptability and a proactive mindset

Skills & Experience Required

  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Experience with C/C++
  • Experience with .NET
  • Experience with Python
  • Interest in hardware systems and machine control

Additional Information

  • Occasional international travel may be required
  • The majority of customers are based overseas, particularly in the USA and China
