Housing Officer (Full Time) (Permanent) – REN14203

Housing Officer You will ensure a high quality, customer focused Estate Management Service within the neighbourhood, ensuring effective customer liaison and promotion of tenant participation and that all housing management functions are carried out in accordance with Council policy and procedures. A key aspect will be to ensure that all rent arrears recovery and early intervention activities are carried out in accordance with policies and procedures to minimise any debt owed. You will also highlight any unresolved local problems with other service providers and take appropriate action in conjunction with Local Housing Services Co-ordinator, visit tenants in their own home and conduct interviews with tenants at the office. It is essential you have housing experience including estate management and debt recovery; experience of letter and report writing; You must have knowledge of Housing (Scotland) Act, Housing Benefit Regulations and Tenants Rights Act and must be willing to work out of hours evenings and weekends, as and when required.
