An Outstanding secondary school in Redbridge is seeking a dedicated and experienced SENCo to lead and further develop its highly effective SEND provision.

The Role
As SENCo, you will play a pivotal leadership role in ensuring the school continues to deliver outstanding support for students with additional needs.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading and developing the school’s SEND strategy and provision
Ensuring the effective implementation of the SEND Code of Practice
Supporting teaching staff in delivering high-quality inclusive classroom practice
Monitoring the progress and outcomes of students with SEND
Coordinating interventions and targeted support programmes
Working closely with parents, external agencies, and the senior leadership team
Contributing to the school’s wider pastoral and inclusion strategy

The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Hold the National Award for Special Educational Needs Coordination (SENCo qualification) – essential
Have proven experience supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities
Demonstrate strong leadership and organisational skills
Be passionate about inclusive education and removing barriers to learning
Outer London Pay Scale: £37,870 – £50,474 (MPS) | £52,219 – £56,154 (UPS) + TLR
Start Date: April or September depending on the successful applicant.
