A high-achieving and values-driven secondary school in Hounslow is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Teacher of Geography to join its thriving Humanities faculty from September 2026.
This is an exciting opportunity for either an Early Career Teacher (ECT) or an experienced teacher who is passionate about Geography and eager to work in a supportive and ambitious school environment where academic excellence and character development are central to the school’s ethos.

About the Role
The successful candidate will join a strong and collaborative Humanities department, teaching Geography across Key Stages 3–5. The department has a strong commitment to delivering engaging lessons that develop students’ understanding of the physical and human world while encouraging critical thinking and global awareness.
Teachers within the department work closely together to develop a rich and challenging curriculum that inspires curiosity about the environment, sustainability, and the changing world.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality Geography lessons across Key Stage 3, 4 and potentially Key Stage 5
Plan engaging and challenging lessons that support excellent student progress
Contribute to curriculum development within the Humanities faculty
Support fieldwork opportunities and enrichment activities
Monitor student progress and provide effective feedback
Contribute to the wider life and ethos of the school
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be working towards it (ECTs welcome)
A strong academic background in Geography or a related discipline
A passion for inspiring students about environmental issues, global development and sustainability
Strong classroom management and communication skills
A commitment to high standards of teaching and learning
