Geography Teacher

• Location: Blackburn
• Job Type: Contract (Immediate start until summer)
• Salary: Day rates according to pay scale

We are seeking a dedicated Geography Teacher for an immediate start, continuing until the summer term. This position is ideal for someone passionate about delivering high-quality geography education and eager to inspire students in Blackburn.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging geography lessons aligned with the curriculum.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback to help them improve.
• Utilise a variety of teaching methods to cater to different learning styles.
• Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters learning.
• Collaborate with other teaching staff to enhance the educational experience of students.
• Participate in school meetings and events.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching geography at the relevant educational level.
• Strong understanding of the geography curriculum and teaching methods.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to engage and inspire students.
• Commitment to professional development and maintaining high teaching standards.
