We are seeking an exceptional Marketing & PR Manager to join an incredible startup at a pivotal and exciting stage of its growth journey.
Working directly with the senior leadership team, you will help define, elevate, and amplify a story that has the potential to transform global cancer diagnostics.
The Opportunity:
This is not a conventional PR and brand role. It is about crafting a clear, emotionally powerful narrative around groundbreaking science — and ensuring it resonates with healthcare systems, political leaders, clinicians, patient groups, investors, and the wider public.
You will play a key role in delivering impactful communications across media, digital platforms, policy conversations, industry events, and stakeholder engagement.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Develop and articulate a compelling master narrative that connects scientific excellence with real-world human impact
- Build brand recognition and authority within life sciences, healthcare, and policy environments
- Engage senior media, industry, and political stakeholders to elevate influence and visibility
- Shape key moments across the industry and political calendar to maximise impact
- Lead website evolution and digital storytelling to reflect the company’s ambition and clarity
- Drive communications that support commercial growth, international expansion, and investor confidence
This role demands both creativity and strategic rigour. You must care deeply about how every aspect of the organisation’s story is interpreted and understood.
Who We’re Looking For:
- A proven brand builder with experience working within a scale-up environment
- Strong understanding of how to create brand authority in competitive, regulated sectors
- A balance of intellectual curiosity and commercial awareness
- Ability to simplify complex science without diluting credibility
- Strong understanding of political and media landscapes, ideally with established networks
We’re looking for someone autonomous, creative, and hands-on — someone who isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves. You’ll bring clear examples of building startup brands, landing high-impact media coverage, and executing campaigns that deliver real visibility and influence.
