The business is going through a period of transformation, and as such we require a candidate who thrives in a growing, fast-paced environment.
We are seeking an accomplished professional to collaborate with the senior leadership team, to provide analytical business support and insights and to optimise financial performance of multiple sites based in the North of the UK. We are looking for a candidate who understands the operations of a multi-site distribution business.
The Job:
You will be an ambitious, established commercial accountant, with proven experience of building relationships within the non-financial stakeholders to take a joined up, proactive approach.
Duties include:
- Deliver insightful financial analysis to inform key business decisions.
- Lead financial planning and reporting processes.
- Identify risks and opportunities, driving proactive solutions to enhance financial performance.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships across departments to promote financial literacy and effective resource management.
- Prepare and present high-quality financial reports to senior management.
- Cost analysis to identify key variances and trends.
- Identify improvements within finance systems, driving efficiencies.
Requirements:
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified.
- Proven track record in a similar role within a fast-paced business environment, ideally working closely with operational teams.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic-thinking skills.
- Strong communication and influencing abilities, with the confidence to challenge and guide stakeholders.
- Resilient self-starter who identifies problems and implements solutions.
- Excellent level of accuracy and attention to detail with a methodical approach.
- Commercial acumen, ideally within a larger business environment in logistics, warehousing or distribution.
