The Opportunity
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing and well-backed civil engineering business delivering complex infrastructure projects across highways, utilities, and industrial sectors.
You’ll take a key role in ensuring Mechanical & Electrical elements are fully coordinated across projects — from early design stages through to installation, commissioning, and final handover.
This is a challenging, fast-paced role where you’ll be trusted to take ownership, solve problems, and drive delivery on technically demanding projects.
The Role
You’ll act as the link between design, site teams, subcontractors, and clients — making sure all M&E works are aligned, buildable, and delivered on time.
This role offers real variety and responsibility, with involvement across the full project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate Mechanical & Electrical works across live civil engineering projects
- Manage progress from design through procurement, installation, and commissioning
- Work closely with designers and subcontractors to ensure buildable, practical solutions
- Identify risks early and implement solutions to avoid delays
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and internal project teams
- Ensure all works meet Health & Safety and environmental standards
- Oversee quality of M&E installations, including inspection and testing plans
- Support procurement of materials and specialist subcontractors
- Assist with commissioning, documentation, and project handover
- Contribute to project planning, sequencing, and methodology
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation across projects
What We’re Looking For
- Experience working on civil engineering or infrastructure projects (highways, utilities, industrial, energy or water)
- Background in coordinating Mechanical & Electrical works on site
- Strong understanding of construction processes and buildability
- Solid technical knowledge of M&E systems in an infrastructure environment
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and work in a fast-paced setting
Desirable
- Experience managing M&E subcontractors
- Familiarity with construction contracts
- Degree / HND / HNC in Engineering
- Working towards or holding professional membership
Why Apply?
- Work on large-scale, technically interesting infrastructure projects
- Opportunity to take real ownership and influence project delivery
- Strong career progression within a growing business
- Exposure across full project lifecycle — not just one phase
- Supportive and collaborative team environment
Ready for the Challenge?
If you’re looking for a role where you can step up, take ownership, and play a key part in delivering complex projects — this is the opportunity for you.
