Job Description:

We are looking for an Analog Design Engineer (Senior or Senior Staff) to join a world leading semiconductor powerhouse at their site in Cambridge.

In this role, you will drive the design, execution, and validation of intricate subsystems that power our cutting-edge wireless, voice, and audio semiconductors. You will be instrumental in defining next-generation features and ensuring our silicon remains at the forefront of market performance.

As an Analog Design Engineer your responsibilities will include:

  • Architectural Strategy: Conceptualize and define the framework for sophisticated power-management blocks, ensuring they meet the high-performance demands of modern connectivity chips.
  • Design & Development: Execute the full development lifecycle for analog sub-cells and small-scale subsystems, from initial specification to final implementation.
  • Validation & Delivery: Take full accountability for the delivery of rigorously verified blocks, supporting the wider team in the characterization and testing of power-management infrastructures.
  • Complex Problem Solving: Navigate and resolve multifaceted technical challenges within highly optimized and resource-constrained design environments.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with macro leads and diverse engineering departments to ensure timely delivery and seamless integration of high-quality subsystems.
  • Technical Excellence: Maintain a position at the leading edge of the industry by integrating emerging analog design trends and methodologies into your workflow.

As an Analog Design Engineer your skills will include:

  • Degree in electrical engineering or similar domain
  • 5+ years of professional tenure in analog IC design
  • Demonstrated mastery in the design of essential Power Management IPs, specifically SMPS (Switched-Mode Power Supplies) and LDOs (Low-Dropout Regulators).
  • Proficiency in industry-standard design and verification suites, such as Cadence and Mentor
  • Experience using Matlab or similar system-level tools to architect and specify complex blocks is highly advantageous
  • Profound grasp of analog design principles and the ability to define rigorous requirements for complex circuitry
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively coordinate with interdisciplinary groups and translate business needs into technical specifications
  • Knowledge of upstreaming workflows and community-led development processes
