A well-established and financially strong insurance brokerage is seeking a Senior Account Manager to join its growing commercial team. The business has built a solid reputation across multiple specialist niches and continues to perform strongly, with this role created as a direct result of sustained growth.

This is a leadership position with responsibility for both client delivery and team management, suited to either an experienced broker stepping up or an existing manager looking for a more progressive, data-driven environment.

The Role

  • Manage a portfolio of mid-market to large commercial clients (from SME Commercial up to circa £1m premium spend)
  • Lead and develop a team of 4 account handlers/brokers
  • Oversee placement strategy, renewals, and complex risk discussions
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with clients, insurers, and internal stakeholders
  • Drive service standards, retention, and growth across the portfolio
  • Contribute to team performance through mentoring, structure, and accountability
  • Work closely with leadership on strategic client and market initiatives

What They’re Looking For

  • Strong commercial insurance broking background
  • Experience managing or mentoring people (or clear readiness to step into leadership)
  • Solid technical knowledge across general commercial lines
  • Comfortable handling larger, more complex risks and clients
  • Commercially aware with a structured, data-led approach
  • Confident communicator with the ability to influence internally and externally
