We’re working with a leading professional services firm looking to hire a high-impact Business Development Manager to drive growth across its Northern offices.
This is a visible, commercially focused role where you’ll partner with senior stakeholders to generate new business, strengthen key intermediary relationships, and bring greater structure and momentum to BD activity across the region.
You’ll be central to connecting teams, creating opportunities, and turning strategy into tangible revenue outcomes.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Driving regional growth: Develop and execute BD plans aligned to firmwide priorities, with a clear focus on revenue generation
- Building networks: Establish and grow a strong intermediary and referral network across the Northern market
- Creating pipeline: Lead client and intermediary targeting initiatives, converting prospects into active opportunities
- Unlocking cross-sell: Identify and progress opportunities across multiple service lines and offices
- Winning work: Support the delivery of high-quality pitches, proposals, and tender submissions
- Influencing stakeholders: Work closely with partners and senior stakeholders, providing insight, structure, and challenge
- Connecting the region: Ensure BD activity is coordinated and consistent across offices
- Using data commercially: Track pipeline, measure ROI, and refine BD strategy based on performance
The Role Requires:
- Proven BD experience within professional or financial services
- Strong experience working with senior stakeholders, with the ability to influence and challenge
- Track record of building intermediary relationships and generating pipeline
- Commercial mindset with a focus on delivering measurable growth
- Confident, credible, and proactive approach
- Highly organised, able to manage multiple priorities across locations
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Comfortable working across a regional remit with regular travel
