Overview
We are currently supporting a leading organisation within the data centre and critical infrastructure sector as they look to appoint an experienced Infrastructure Engineer on a contract basis.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on high-value, mission-critical projects across hyperscale and enterprise data centre environments.
The Role
You will be responsible for supporting, maintaining, and optimising infrastructure across data centre environments, ensuring high availability, resilience, and performance.
Working remotely with occasional site engagement, you will play a key role in delivering robust infrastructure solutions across critical systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and maintain data centre infrastructure including servers, networks, and associated systems
- Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity across critical environments
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related incidents and outages
- Assist with implementation, upgrades, and migrations of infrastructure systems
- Work closely with engineering, operations, and project teams to ensure seamless delivery
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to best practice standards
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Infrastructure Engineer within data centres or critical environments
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, and server environments
- Experience with virtualisation technologies and cloud platforms is desirable
- Knowledge of monitoring tools, incident management, and system optimisation
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in high-pressure environments
