PEOPLE BUSINESS PARTNER

LONDON – CONTRACT (3 MONTHS) – £450 PD

Ceto Talent is recruiting a People Business Partner for a contract position with one of our valued clients in the public sector. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR professional looking to apply their expertise in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

People Business Partner Requirements

To be successful as a People Business Partner, you will have:

  • Strong HR Business Partnering experience with proven ability to manage complex, sensitive HR matters
  • Extensive hands-on Employee Relations casework experience
  • Ability to handle misconduct, grievances, harassment, attendance and sensitive issues
  • Proven experience supporting Employment Tribunal processes
  • CIPD Level 7 (or working towards) with Chartered/Fellow membership or equivalent experience
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to support and coach managers through formal processes
  • Resilience and confidence with strong relationship building capabilities
  • Government Clearance will be needed

Desirable Requirements

  • Background in law enforcement, legal, or policing environments
  • Experience in smaller organisations (approx 500 people)
  • Familiarity with Oracle HR systems

About the Role

The People Business Partner will provide short-term cover within a small but high-pressure HR team. You will manage a heavy Employee Relations caseload of approximately 25 concurrent cases, act as the primary HR contact for around 10 senior stakeholders, and provide ongoing support across operational and enabling functions. This is a senior generalist role operating in a fast-paced, reactive environment requiring immediate impact and strong stakeholder management.

Key Responsibilities

Manage a heavy ER caseload including misconduct, grievances, harassment, and attendance matters. Support and coach managers through formal processes, drafting correspondence and scripts as required. Contribute to ongoing Employment Tribunal cases. Act as the face of the People team for assigned stakeholders within business areas. Provide ongoing updates and guidance to Heads of Division and senior leaders. Lead monthly stakeholder HR meetings focusing on data, insight and case discussions. Maintain continuity of HR support and collaborate with internal HR specialists.
