Equity Analyst (Asian Healthcare) – London Based Asset Manager

Our client is a globally recognised long-only asset manager who are looking to appoint an Equity Analyst focused on Asian healthcare equities. This is a high-impact role within a well-established investment team, offering direct exposure to portfolio managers and the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to investment decisions across a dynamic and rapidly evolving sector.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth fundamental research on publicly listed healthcare companies across Asia (including pharmaceuticals, biotech, medical devices, and healthcare services)
• Build and maintain detailed financial models and valuation frameworks
• Generate high-conviction investment ideas and present recommendations to portfolio managers
• Monitor sector trends, regulatory developments, and competitive dynamics across key Asian markets
• Engage with company management teams, industry experts, and sell-side analysts
• Produce high-quality written research reports and investment notes
• Collaborate closely with global sector teams to share insights and align on investment themes

Requirements

• 2–5 years’ experience in equity research, investment analysis, or a related role (buy-side preferred, though strong sell-side candidates will be considered)
• Fluency in an Asian language (e.g. Mandarin, Japanese, Korean) strongly preferred, but not strictly required
• Progress towards or completion of CFA (or equivalent) is strongly preferred, but not strictly required.
• Prior experience covering healthcare or emerging markets
