Description:

A contract opportunity for an experienced Cloud Architect focusing on cloud platforms, infrastructure, and security. The role involves designing and implementing scalable and secure cloud architectures, improving cloud environments, and working closely with engineering and DevOps teams.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop scalable, secure cloud architectures.
• Translate business requirements into cloud solutions.
• Create architectural building blocks and reusable cloud patterns.
• Develop engineering-focused solutions from design to production.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to align cloud requirements with CI/CD tools.
• Provide technical leadership during cloud solution development.
• Assess and optimise existing cloud infrastructure for performance and security.
• Define and maintain cloud security policies and controls.
• Manage cloud governance and service lifecycles.
• Support engineering community requirements.
• Keep up to date with emerging cloud trends and technologies.
• Evaluate cloud service offerings against requirements.
• Maintain documentation for cloud architectures and processes.

Requirements:

• Proven experience architecting and implementing solutions on Azure and AWS.
• Strong knowledge of cloud security across infrastructure and services.
• Deep understanding of virtualisation, Kubernetes, Linux/Windows, storage, databases, and networking.
• Experience with DevOps tools such as GitHub, Azure DevOps, Terraform, ARM, Ansible.
• Understanding of SDLC, modern engineering practices, and CI/CD.
• Experience in transformational programmes and multi-disciplinary collaboration.
