We’re hiring for a fast-growing, profitable AI startup building LLM-powered tools for private market investors. With a lean team split across London and NYC, the company has already achieved 10x revenue growth and works with some of the world’s leading investment and consulting firms.
This is a unique opportunity to join as the first engineer dedicated to internal go-to-market and operations systems – owning the tools, data infrastructure, and automations that help commercial teams move faster and smarter.
What you’ll do
- Build and own internal tools used by Sales, Customer Success, Finance, and Ops
- Design and maintain the company’s data warehouse and internal data architecture
- Connect product, CRM, billing, and finance data into clear, reliable reporting
- Automate workflows using LLMs, agents, and AI-driven systems
- Improve billing, invoicing, reconciliation, and customer health reporting
- Help shape engineering decisions, priorities, and culture in a fast-moving startup
Example projects
- Build customer health dashboards and alerts using product + CRM data
- Create feedback pipelines that turn customer conversations into structured product insights
- Implement complex B2B billing / invoicing logic (usage-based, seat-based, platform fees)
- Build reporting systems across product, commercial, and finance teams
What we’re looking for
- Experience as a Backend Engineer, Data Engineer, or hybrid internal systems engineer
- Strong experience with PostgreSQL and at least one data platform such as Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, or similar
- Experience building internal tools, automations, or business systems
- Comfortable working across Sales, Finance, Ops, and Customer Success
- Strong project ownership and ability to work directly with senior stakeholders
- Startup mindset: fast-moving, pragmatic, and comfortable with ambiguity
- Bonus: experience with Node.js / TypeScript, Stripe, Retool, Amplitude, or AI-powered products
