Senior Commercial Finance Manager | Consumer FMCG Group
Greater London, Hybrid (2–3 days)
£100,000–£110,000 + Bonus + Benefits
Own a £700m+ P&L, supporting Account Directors and delivering growth across the customer portfolio. Role’s been created due to a period of internal growth and transformation, so you’ll have a direct say in scoping new processes and shaping ways of working.
A genuine commercial finance role, so you’ll be able to shape trading decisions in real time, support improvements to customer terms, drive trade investment, influence pricing and help deliver on your channel’s strategies.
What you’ll be doing
Channel performance & forecasting Own forecasting, budgeting and in-year performance tracking across your customer base. The real value is in separating short-term promotional noise from genuine shifts in mix, pricing or demand and making that legible to commercial stakeholders who may not think in those terms.
Trade investment & value creation Challenge and shape decisions across promotions, pricing and customer terms. Rigorous ROI evaluation, margin rebuilding across SKUs and channels, and the commercial courage to push back when the numbers don’t stack up.
Leadership & operating model Lead a team of four across varying experience levels while driving meaningful improvements in process, reporting and governance. The goal is a “no surprises” culture, in your team and across the wider commercial function. You’re building an environment of proper finance business partnership!
What you’ll need
- Fully qualified (CIMA / ACA / ACCA or equivalent)
- Commercial finance experience with genuine P&L ownership in FMCG or consumer
- Track record of influencing and constructively challenging senior stakeholders
- Comfortable building structure in ambiguity rather than waiting for it, proven background in developing processes.
- Experience leading and a similar sized team
