Principal Medical Writer (Medical Education Focus)
We are supporting a growing, independent healthcare communications consultancy in the search for a Principal Medical Writer to lead the development of high-quality medical education and scientific content across a range of therapy areas. This is an opportunity to join a highly collaborative, strategy-led environment that partners closely with pharma and biotech clients on launch and high-impact programmes, combining scientific rigour with creative thinking.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the development of scientific narratives and medical education materials across multiple projects
• Deliver medical strategy plans and contribute to broader brand and launch strategy
• Support the design and execution of large-scale medical education programmes
• Facilitate and contribute to advisory boards and stakeholder engagement activities
• Translate complex scientific data into clear, accurate, and compelling communications
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure strategic alignment and scientific integrity
• Act as a trusted scientific partner to clients, contributing to discussions and providing strategic input
Experience Required
• Strong experience in medical education and scientific content development
• Demonstrated ability to work across high-science therapy areas such as oncology, rare disease, neurology, or immunology
• Experience developing scientific narratives and strategic materials
• Confident operating in a client-facing environment
• Advanced degree preferred
