Role Overview

An opportunity has arisen for a proactive Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join the commercial team, based in the Salford office. The successful candidate will support across a variety of projects, including university, council, and wider public sector schemes, reporting directly to the Senior Quantity Surveyor and Commercial Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide commercial support, including measurement, procurement, and cost reporting
  • Assist in managing projects across the full lifecycle, from inception to completion
  • Support the preparation of accurate and timely cost reports
  • Contribute to both framework and one-off tendered projects
  • Assist with day-to-day commercial administration, including cost control and procurement
  • Liaise with internal teams, clients, and suppliers to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget

Key Requirements

  • 1-3 years’ experience in an Assistant Quantity Surveyor or similar role
  • Construction sector experience, ideally within new build and refurbishment projects
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail

  • Understanding of cost control, reporting, and commercial processes
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage workload and contribute across full project cycles
  • Based locally to Warrington or able to commute easily
