The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join a leading MEP subcontractor on a major construction project in Oxford. This is a long-term contract role offering strong day rates and the opportunity to work on a high-profile scheme within a fast-paced, delivery-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of mechanical packages across the project lifecycle
- Coordinate with design teams, subcontractors, and site management
- Review and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Ensure works are delivered in line with programme, quality, and safety standards
- Monitor installation progress and provide technical input on-site
- Assist with commissioning and handover processes
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Engineer within construction / MEP projects
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, pipework, and building services systems
- Experience working for an MEP contractor or subcontractor
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Relevant engineering qualification (HNC/HND/Degree xwzovoh or equivalent)
