Head of Capital Project Management, Property Construction

We’re seeking an experienced and driven Head of Capital Project Management to lead the project management function across a range of Capital Projects. The role will oversee the successful delivery of major capital investment and refurbishment projects across the Estate.

The Role

• Responsible for managing and developing a team of project managers while ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, safely, and to the highest standards.
• Working closely with the Head of Property, you will play a key role in delivering the capital programme.
• Lead the day‑to‑day management of a varied portfolio of capital and refurbishment projects, implementing robust governance, reporting frameworks, risk controls, and performance monitoring to support effective decision‑making and delivery.
• Support programme planning and financial forecasting.
• Coordinating procurement activity, managing external contractors and consultants.
• Lead on compliance across statutory requirements, health and safety legislation, CDM regulations, planning regulations, and building control.
• Provide high‑quality reporting to stakeholders and external partners.
