Data Engineer – Microsoft Fabric | UK (Remote-first with York office)
I’m working with a really strong Microsoft-focused consultancy who are growing out their UK Data practice, and they’re looking to bring in experienced Data Engineers to join them.
You’ll be coming in as a hands-on Data Engineer, working closely with clients to solve complex data challenges and turn them into scalable, high-performing solutions using Microsoft Fabric.
It’s a proper end-to-end role so not just building pipelines, but shaping how data is structured, consumed, and ultimately used across BI and AI use cases.
You’ll be:
- Designing and building Lakehouses and end-to-end data platforms in Microsoft Fabric
- Turning complex, messy data into clean, analytics-ready datasets
- Working directly with clients to understand challenges and define practical solutions
- Supporting use cases across BI, analytics, and AI
- Experimenting with new Fabric capabilities as they evolve
- Contributing to best practices in a fast-moving data ecosystem
What they’re looking for
- Strong experience across Microsoft Data stack (Fabric, Azure Data services)
- Solid Data Engineering background (pipelines, modelling, data architecture)
- Comfortable working in a client-facing environment
- Someone who can simplify complexity and communicate clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Curious mindset open to learning and exploring new tech (especially AI capabilities)
