In this rewarding role, you’ll provide expert mental health support to patients across various clinical areas. You’ll be instrumental in delivering high-quality care, supporting colleagues through training and development, and promoting parity between mental and physical health within the general hospital setting.
As a valued member of the team, you’ll:
Offer specialist advice and support to patients experiencing acute mental health challenges.
Contribute to staff development through guidance and training.
Champion mental health awareness and well-being across the Trust.
What we’re looking for:
- A qualified RMN with strong clinical and risk assessment skills.
- In-depth knowledge of mental health conditions and psychosocial interventions.
- A solid understanding of legal frameworks related to acute mental health care.
- Someone who is proactive, adaptable, and thrives in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary setting.

Main duties of the job
- To deliver high-quality, effective, and individualised nursing care that is compassionate, caring, and aligned with evidence-based professional practice.
- To assess care needs and develop, implement, and evaluate nursing care plans without supervision.
- Maintaining a safe environment for patients.
- Collaborating across the multi-disciplinary team to ensure consistent and personalised care.
- Contributing to the daily activities and treatment programmes.
- To undertake mental health risk assessments and reduce vulnerable patients coming to harm.
- To provide clinical areas with mental health advice, support, and expertise.
