Working Supervisor

High Wycombe45,000 + Call-Out & OvertimeMonday to Friday (40 hours)

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established contractor delivering responsive maintenance services across secure residential estates in the South East. They are seeking an experienced Working Supervisor to join their team in High Wycombe.

This is a hands‑on role, ideal for a technically strong supervisor who leads from the front and is confident working in occupied residential environments.

The Role

You will oversee a team of operatives delivering responsive maintenance works, ensuring jobs are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. Alongside supervision, you’ll provide technical support, carry out quality checks, and act as the key point of contact for operational issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise day-to-day maintenance works across your patch
  • Monitor performance, productivity, and job completion standards
  • Carry out site visits, quality inspections, and assurance checks
  • Provide technical guidance and support fault diagnosis
  • Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety regulations
  • Deliver toolbox talks and maintain accurate H&S records
  • Support customer issue resolution and service delivery
  • Manage team performance, attendance, and development
  • Work closely with scheduling teams to drive efficiency
  • Participate in an on‑call rota

About You

Essential

  • SSSTS (minimum) – SMSTS desirable
  • Valid CSCS Supervisor Card
  • City & Guilds / NVQ Level 2 or 3 in a relevant trade
  • Proven experience as a Working Supervisor or Foreman
  • Background in responsive maintenance within occupied homes
  • Strong Health & Safety knowledge
  • Experience working to KPIs and service standards
  • IT literate (CAFM / job management systems)
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Eligible for Security Clearance

Desirable

  • Experience in MOD, social housing, or local authority contracts
  • Multi-trade background
  • Experience in secure or highly regulated environments

Package & Benefits

  • Salary: 45,000
  • On-call allowance: 150 per week
  • Call-out fee: 35 + applicable overtime rates
  • Overtime rates:
    • Mon-Fri: x1
    • Saturday: x1.5
    • Sunday: x2
