Home and field based role – paid from door to door. West Midlands, North West and North Wales – Shropshire, Staffordshire, Cheshire & North Wales.

The Job Role Details
We are seeking a Refrigeration Service & Installation Engineer to join a specialist dairy equipment manufacturer. This full‑time, field‑based role involves servicing, maintaining and installing farm milk cooling systems, bulk tanks, ice builders and associated equipment while ensuring F‑Gas compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out service, preventative and reactive maintenance of farm milk cooling systems across Shropshire, Staffordshire, Cheshire and North Wales.
- Respond to tank breakdowns within service level agreements – diagnosing and fixing mechanical, electrical, electronic and refrigeration faults in bulk milk tanks and ice builders.
- Install bulk milk tanks ranging from 1,000L to 40,000L capacity, ice builders ranging from 70kW to 300kW, heat recovery units, plate coolers, water heaters and condensing units.
- Ensure farms meet relevant F‑Gas regulations and produce F‑Gas certificates.
- Electrical: Test components from volt‑free to 415V, trace faults through panels, program controllers, diagnose & replace faulty parts, motors etc. Wire communication cables.
- Refrigeration / Mechanical: Install milk cooling and associated equipment; brazing, soldering and plumbing joints. Fault‑find and replace parts safely. F‑Gas qualified.
- Plumbing: Fit cylinders, water pumps and IBC water tanks.
Ideal Person Skills & Qualifications
- Strong electrical/fault‑finding experience on dairy, milking or refrigeration equipment in a similar role.
- F‑Gas qualified – desirable.
- Confident in fault‑finding, repairs and installations.
- Living within the territory: Shropshire, Staffordshire, Cheshire or North Wales.
- Willing to travel across the Midlands, North Wales and Cheshire.
- UK driving licence.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Must hold an NVQ Level 2, Scottish NVQ Level 2 or an equivalent qualification relevant to the job.
