HCM Product Manager

A leading HR and Payroll company are looking for an experienced HCM Product Manager to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of its Human Capital Management offering.

Based: Swinton (Hybrid 2 days a week)

This is a high-impact, strategic position suited to someone who thrives on ownership, transformation, and building modern, integrated SaaS products. You will lead on defining the product vision and roadmap, while driving a major HCM transformation programme incorporating system rebuilds and AI innovation.

The Role

This is a strategy-led role with a strong emphasis on direction, alignment, and long-term product evolution rather than day-to-day delivery. Working alongside Product Owners who manage execution, the HCM Product Manager will focus on defining priorities, steering multiple squads, and ensuring the product is positioned for future growth.

Key responsibilities include:

• Owning and shaping the HCM product strategy and roadmap
• Translating senior leadership vision into clear, actionable product plans
• Leading a large-scale HCM transformation, including platform rebuilds and AI integration
• Overseeing multiple product squads and ensuring alignment across teams
• Collaborating closely with payroll and platform teams to deliver a cohesive product ecosystem
• Driving the evolution towards a single, fully integrated system
• Working cross-functionally with engineering, UX, and QA to ensure high-quality outcomes

About You

This opportunity requires a confident and experienced Product Manager who can operate autonomously and bring immediate value. You will be comfortable navigating complexity, influencing stakeholders, and balancing long-term strategy with practical execution.

You should bring:

• Proven experience as a Product Manager in a SaaS environment
• Strong ownership of product strategy and roadmap development
• Experience working across multiple teams or squads simultaneously
• The ability to quickly grasp new domains and drive informed decisions
• A collaborative mindset with strong stakeholder engagement skills

Experience in HCM or HR technology is highly desirable, but candidates with backgrounds in related areas such as payroll, ATS, workforce management, or broader B2B SaaS products will also be considered.
