Job Role & Key Responsibilities:
We are seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to support a fast-paced, automated production environment. This role focuses on maintaining plant reliability, reducing downtime, and driving continuous improvement across site operations through both planned and reactive maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance
- Diagnose faults and carry out repairs across electrical and mechanical systems
- Respond quickly to breakdowns to minimise disruption to production
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, Quality, and Food Safety standards
- Maintain accurate maintenance records using internal systems
- Provide first-line support for machinery and site services
- Contribute to continuous improvement and efficiency initiatives
- Work closely with management to enhance reliability and performance
The Ideal Candidate will have:
- Strong electrical background with multi-skilled capability
- 18th Edition Electrical qualification
- Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or production environment
- Proven fault-finding skills on automated equipment
- Hands‑on, proactive approach with strong problem‑solving ability
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable Skills:
- Experience within FMCG or food manufacturing environments
- Familiarity with maintenance management systems (CMMS)
- Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on efficiency and cost reduction
