My client is a growing Multi Family Office based in London.
They are looking to hire a Data/AI guru to help improve and run their processes. The Data, AI & Operations Analyst plays a critical role in bridging data science with investment operations to enhance portfolio performance, improve client experience, and streamline processes. The role involves analysing complex datasets, including market data and financial documents to generate detailed client reports and actionable insights.
In addition to analytical responsibilities, the analyst supports a range of business‑as‑usual activities, working closely with the front office to deliver a high‑quality client experience. The role is also instrumental in the ongoing development of the operations function, ensuring the business operates efficiently and effectively.
A key focus of the position is identifying opportunities to improve workflow efficiency across investment operations and data management, driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Key responsibilities:
Data Management
- Act as the firm’s data champion, ensuring data completeness, accuracy, and compliance across systems
- Produce and validate data for monthly and quarterly performance reporting
- Serve as the primary point of contact for data‑related queries and bespoke client reporting
- Establish and maintain a “single source of truth” through data cleansing, structuring, and governance
- Leverage AI tools to enhance data quality and improve investment research productivity
Be responsible for all data related queries in relation to our reporting software tools
AI Implementation
- Act as the firm’s AI lead, supporting the selection, development, and integration of third‑party AI tools.
- Assist team members in automating their workflows and build and maintain a firm‑wide prompt library to reduce administrative workload and improve day‑to‑day efficiency.
- Build predictive analytics capabilities to enhance investment decision‑making and client outcomes.
- Support the development of a hybrid advisory model, where AI augments client advisers.
Investment Operations
- Assist in portfolio monitoring, ensuring alignment with target allocations and performance benchmarks
- Support regulatory compliance, including transaction reporting (MiFIR) and resolving discrepancies
- Monitor portfolio risk factors and ensure alignment with investment mandates
- Conduct performance tracking and reporting for investment managers and client portfolios
- Perform daily validation of pricing data from providers such as SIX and other sources
- Support ad‑hoc operational tasks as required by the COO
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience in buy‑side operations, with good knowledge of securities including funds, direct investments, and derivatives
- Solid understanding of performance calculation methodologies
- Strong organisational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to take ownership and make decisions
- Ability to identify, escape, and mitigate risks, while recommending process improvements
Proven ability to deliver high‑quality work under pressure and to tight deadlines
Key Skills
- Advanced MS Office skills, particularly Excel (including handling large datasets)
- Strong programming capability in Python and SQL
- Experience with data/cloud platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and Power BI
- Hands‑on experience with machine learning implementation
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical insights clearly and professionally
- Self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, and highly organised
- Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work effectively in a small team environment
