Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled Commercial Manager (Senior Quantity Surveyor) to join our team and take ownership of the commercial management of projects. You will be responsible for overseeing multiple commercial office fit-out projects, from inception to completion, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
As a key senior team member, you will contribute to the growth and strategic direction of the business, working closely with both internal and external stakeholders. You will mentor junior members of the team while also playing an active role in business development and client management.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the commercial management of multiple office fit-out projects, ensuring financial success and client satisfaction.
- Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and final accounts for projects ranging from smaller refurbishments to large-scale, high-profile office fit-outs.
- Manage procurement processes, sub-contractor negotiations, and ensure value for money across all stages of the project.
- Oversee project performance, identifying risks and opportunities, and implementing corrective actions where needed.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors, ensuring clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Mentor and guide junior Quantity Surveyors and other team members, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
- Contribute to the strategic growth of the business by supporting business development and tendering efforts.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and health and safety standards.
