Role Overview
An opportunity has arisen within Sunderland City Council for the role of Operations Manager – Mechanical, within Property Services reporting to the Senior Manager – Operational Asset Management.
The successful applicant will have a minimum of an ONC/HNC or equivalent in engineering and have a proven track record of delivering building services functions and associated programmes.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate, program and manage all mechanical services delivery in conjunction with the work scheduling team.
- Lead a direct workforce and appoint external contractors for repairs and maintenance operations.
- Manage the team, projects and schemes across the portfolio.
- Ensure provision of mechanical services meets agreed contracts, quality, performance, technical standards, legislation, and council policies.
- Work collaboratively within the Technical and Operational Team and partner with other colleagues across the Local Authority.
Qualifications
- Minimum of an ONC/HNC or equivalent in engineering.
- Proven track record of delivering building services functions and associated programmes.
- Strong leadership and project management skills.
- Ability to ensure compliance with legislation, regulations and council policies.
- Teamwork and partnership capabilities.
