This is a varied, hands-on role involving installation, commissioning, servicing, and technical support of advanced machinery both on-site and remotely. Key ResponsibilitiesAttend customer sites for installation, commissioning, servicing, and breakdown supportCarry out fault finding, diagnostics, and repairs on mechanical and electrical systemsCommission and modify software for machine and production line integrationProvide remote diagnostics and technical support for customersDeliver customer training on installed equipmentRespond to technical queries via phone and emailLog and manage service, spares, and installation enquiries within internal systemsWork closely with internal teams to ensure timely resolution of customer issuesSupport spare parts processes, including liaising with internal teams for quotationsComplete documentation such as test plans and validation recordsCollaborate with engineering teams to resolve design or build-related issuesSkills & ExperienceEssentialRecognised qualification in Electrical, Electronic or Control Engineering (e.g. BTEC, HNC or equivalent)Strong mechanical and electrical engineering backgroundElectrical certification for working with 3-phase systemsMinimum 5 years’ experience servicing and fault finding on machineryExperience with PLC programming (e.g. Siemens and/or Allen Bradley – basic level)Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skillsProficient in Microsoft OfficeAbility to work effectively both independently and as part of a teamDesirableDegree in Electrical or related Engineering disciplineChartered status (or working towards it)Experience installing or commissioning industrial/packaging machineryExperience with full production line commissioningKnowledge of validation processes and documentationPersonal AttributesExcellent communication and customer-facing skillsSelf-motivated with a proactive approachAble to work under pressure and meet deadlinesWillingness to travel within the UK and internationallyValid passport requiredAdditional InformationThis is a dynamic, field-based role within a growing organisation, offering exposure to a wide range of engineering challenges and customer environments.
