Enterprise Rent-A-Car has an exciting opportunity for a Building Maintenance Technician. The Building Maintenance Technician is responsible for the general maintenance and repair of building assets. This position is responsible for basic maintenance and organization to ensure that facilities and equipment are in good condition at all times for customers and employees. This individual will perform preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on buildings, equipment and grounds throughout London and the Home Counties across Southwest England and Southwest Wales. This role will utilize multiple trade skills such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, manual tasks and other skills as needed to solve maintenance problems. The areas of coverage are rental branches within Southwest England and the outerlying Home Counties area as needed. Position can be based anywhere in southwest of England. Travel required. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:Perform routine general maintenance and repair work such as light electrical, plumbing, painting, carpet/floor, cleaning, and snow and ice removalTimely completion of work orders generated by call-in requests or preventive maintenance schedule according to the Maintenance Operative Works List (MOWL).Obtains necessary materials and supplies to complete all tasks. Seeks further guidance, if needed, to consistently resolve issues on first visit.Utilizes mandatory safety equipment and Safe Systems of Work to perform tasks and ensure the safety of those around themPerforms minor plumbing maintenance on existing systems (e.g. unclog toilets and drains, repair leaks in drains and faucets, replace toilets and faucet fixtures as needed, etc.)Performs routine painting, carpentry work, etc., as necessary to maintain our Client’s facilities in like new condition (e.g. repair a hole in dry-wall, prep the area, and match the paint to present a uniform and original like new appearance).Performs minor electrical maintenance as allowed (e.g. repair or replacement of fixtures, wall switches, and outlets.
