Purchase Ledger Clerk Annual Salary: £26,000 – £28,000 per annum Location: Belfast City Centre Job Type: Permanent | Office-based | Full-time Reed Accountancy and Finance are delighted to partner with an established and reputable company in Belfast City Centre in their search for a dedicated Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis. Invoice Handling: Manage a high volume of incoming supplier invoices and credit notes, ensuring all items are accurately logged, coded correctly, and processed in line with internal procedures. Supplier Account Setup: Create and maintain supplier records within the finance system, carrying out thorough checks to ensure accuracy and reduce risk of fraudulent activity. Statement Reconciliation: Complete monthly reconciliations of supplier statements to the purchase ledger, confirming transactions are up to date and resolving any mismatches quickly. Take responsibility for handling queries related to your section of the purchase ledger, responding promptly via phone and email while maintaining strong working relationships with suppliers. Keep digital financial records well-organised and up to date, ensuring documentation is stored correctly and is always audit-ready. Required Skills & Qualifications: Strong background in purchase ledger, accounts payable, or a similar finance function, ideally within a fast-paced, high-volume setting. Strong IT skills, with confident use of Microsoft Excel and previous exposure to finance or accounting systems.
