Quantity / Senior Surveyor – Main Contractor
Location: Dundee | Salary: Competitive | Contract: Permanent
We are currently working with a well-established main contractor who is looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Dundee. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a range of construction projects , supporting commercial delivery from pre-construction through to final account.
The Role:
As Quantity / Senior Surveyor, you will be responsible for the day-to-day commercial management of construction projects , working closely with site and project teams to ensure cost control and commercial compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing and managing cost plans, budgets, and forecasts .
- Measurement, valuations, and preparation of applications for payment .
- Managing variations, change control, and final accounts .
- Procurement and commercial management of subcontractor packages .
- Supporting commercial reporting and maintaining cost control on live projects.
About You:
- Previous experience working as a Quantity Surveyor for a main contractor .
- Strong understanding of commercial management and contract administration .
- Experience across building projects (commercial, residential, or industrial).
- Strong IT and reporting skills; estimating software experience beneficial.
- Confident communicator able to work effectively with site teams and subcontractors.
