The role involves providing specialist support to a young, non‑verbal student with ASD. Personal care is required and experience with MAKATON is preferred. You will work in Reception, offering 1‑to‑1 support, phonics, spelling, reading & writing groups and sessions, and delivering creative, sensory‑based activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Work in Reception, offering 1‑to‑1 support.
- Carry out phonics, spelling, reading & writing groups and 1‑to‑1 sessions, and use MAKATON.
- Provide personal care.
- Deliver creative, sensory‑based activities.
Key Qualifications
- Degree from a reputable university.
- Good understanding of the EYFS curriculum.
- Experience or knowledge of non‑verbal ASD.
- Engaging, bubbly personality.
- Comfortable working within a large team.
