Working within a collaborative engineering function, you will contribute to system reliability, data optimisation, and the integration of new technologies into live operational settings.Key responsibilities include:Maintaining and enhancing manufacturing IT systems to ensure performance and reliabilityTaking ownership of production-level systems, including deployment, monitoring, and ongoing supportDesigning and integrating new software solutions to support manufacturing operationsDeveloping and optimising applications for data collection, analysis, and visualisationCollaborating closely with engineering and production teams to deliver effective technical solutionsIdentifying and implementing system improvements within live environmentsWhat Were Looking ForEssential:Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related disciplineStrong programming skills in C++Experience working with S3 binary object storageStrong communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionallyAbility to take ownership xwzovoh from concept through to deliveryProactive, self-motivated and passionate about continuous learningDesirable:Experience with embedded systems (e.g. Arduino, Raspberry Pi)Linux experience (ideally Debian-based environments)Python programming skillsGitLab/GitHub experienceExperience with JSON document databases (e.g. MongoDB, Couchbase)If youre a software engineer who enjoys applying technical expertise in real-world manufacturing environments, this could be a fantastic next step….
