Role Overview
This hybrid role combines assessment, training, customer support, territory management and consultative sales, with a practical hands-on element. You will assess clients, recommend specialist seating solutions, and also be responsible for installing, adjusting and maintaining the equipment you prescribe.
You’ll be the key contact for your region, ensuring clients receive an excellent service throughout the full product lifecycle, from assessment to installation to troubleshooting and repairs.
Key ResponsibilitiesField Assessments & Customer Support
- Carry out person-centred seating and postural assessments in homes, schools, clinics and community sites
- Identify needs and recommend appropriate seating and positioning solutions
- Produce accurate assessment reports, quotations and case documentation
- Provide empathetic, professional support to clients, families and carers
- Install and set up specialist seating equipment you have assessed for, ensuring correct fit, safety and comfort
- Adjust, modify and fine-tune equipment during and after installation as required
- Provide basic maintenance, troubleshooting and on-site repairs when customers experience issues
- Liaise with operations and manufacturing teams for escalated or complex repairs
- Ensure equipment is left safe, fully functional and compliant with manufacturer guidelines
Training & Relationship Building
- Deliver training sessions and product demonstrations to clinicians, school staff, carers and families
- Build trust-based relationships with prescribers, therapists and local care networks
- Support referral pathways and work collaboratively across your region
Territory, Sales & Diary Management
- Manage your own diary, travel, stock, equipment and follow-up schedules
- Maintain accurate CRM notes and follow up on all assessments, quotes and opportunities
- Drive commercial growth in your region with a consultative, ethical and customer-first approach
- Provide insight and feedback on product performance and client needs
Person Specification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence around children and young people
- Practical mindset – comfortable using tools, making adjustments and learning basic repairs
- Person-centred, empathetic and passionate about supporting vulnerable people
- Excellent organisation and independence in managing a busy field-based diary
- Full UK driving licence + willingness to travel across the South East
- Comfortable with basic IT (email, CRM, reporting)
- Experience in specialist seating, mobility equipment, assistive technology or related healthcare areas
- Background in field-based roles, product demonstrations, sales or training delivery
- Experience working within MDT or SEN environments
