Role Summary
Is the next step in your career at SMBC Group EMEA? We’re looking for a CPD Business Analyst professional to join the wider Compliance Solutions and Technology Strategy function.
The Compliance Solutions and Technology Strategy Team supports the conception and implementation work of CPD Change initiatives and has a strong focus to deliver full solutions including business, process, data and system perspective. The team is in strong contact with CPD SME stakeholders, IT architects, the developers and the data management units. The team oversees delivery of CPD change activities including process automation, key regulatory changes, oversight of the frameworks that enable understanding of regulatory obligations.
Position Description
- Responsible for in depth review of requirements, process flows, system architect
- Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, analyse current-state inefficiencies, and identify automation opportunities
- Produce clear and comprehensive documentation, including:
- • “As-is” and “To-be” process maps
- • Workflow diagrams and automation roadmaps
- • Delivery plans and solution documentation
- Facilitate workshops, stakeholder meetings, and sprint planning sessions
- Assist in testing, training, and rollout of new CPD change initiatives and processes automations
- Assist in completion and tracking of key deliverables within Compliance Solutions and Technology Forum, maintaining efficient and appropriate governance to enable successful outcomes.
- Support CPD Solutions and Technology Strategy Team in the review and assessment of key EMEA CPD Change Initiatives, process automation and cost benefit analysis templates.
- Monitor change initiatives progress and facilitate all project communications and applicable management reporting
- Highlight and escalate key blockers to CPD Solutions Stakeholders for decision-making
The candidate will have:
- Educated to degree level (with a relevant degree) and a professional qualification(s) in financial crime.
- Good verbal and written communication skills (essential);
- Ability to work independently with a team spirit and proactive mind-set (essential);
- Articulate and able to apply new skills effectively (essential);
- Able to multi-task and prioritise multiple projects (essential);
- Able to build relationships and rapport with stakeholders (essential);
- Good command of the Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio and other Microsoft Office products (essential);
- Experience in an international banking environment (preferred);
- Experience in process change, project management or reporting (preferred);
- Good understanding of the applicable laws and regulation to banking and securities industry in UK as well as EMEA (preferred); and
- Understanding of the products and services offered by SMBC BI (preferred).
