Ensure you read the information regarding this opportunity thoroughly before making an application.I’m working with my Leeds based client who is looking for Finance Controller to join their Family business who will form part of the Senior Management Team ideally with an immediate startThe RoleThe position is for a small to medium business who work within the construction sector providing, supplying and the installation of products. The role involves general bookkeeping tasks such as sales / purchase leger management, bank reconciliations etc. along with credit control and monthly payroll.The role also involves working closely with other office staff and management to assist with financial planning and actively contribute to the development of a dynamic and evolving business.This role offers an excellent and unique opportunity for an individual with accounts and bookkeeping experience to develop their skills and be part of an exciting and progressive business.Key responsibilitiesAccountingOperate all bookkeeping and accounting systems primarily using Sage and Microsoft software.Preparing/issuing monthly statements for customersFull credit control and managementProcessing purchase orders and managing supplier paymentsManaging CIS deductions and paymentsChecking company bank statements and bank reconciliationManaging monthly payroll runs including the submission of all PAYE returns & paymentsCompleting and submitting VAT returnsInvoice and cash flow projectionsAssisting with business development and promoting efficiencyProcessing month end reconciliations and closedownOfficeManaging company vehicle accounts and payments such as leases and renewals, breakdown and recovery insurance, and MOT, tax and vehicle insurance. xwzovoh Managing company energy supplier payments and assisting with renewalsManaging company telecommunication accounts and payments and assisting with renewalsManaging accounts and payments for company accreditations, insurances and trade schemesMonitoring and managing accounts and payments for ongoing marketing platforms such as Google accounts and magazine advertisingQualifications, skills and attributesEssentialFull accounts experienceGreat credit control experienceExcellent working knowledge of Sage accounts and payroll softwareGood working knowledge of Microsoft Office softwareExperience in a similar role within a Finance DepartmentDesirableICB or AAT Qualified or Part QualifiedKnowledge and experience of the construction industrySalaryIf the position was offered at a full-time basis Monday to Friday(40 hours per week) the annual salary would be between £32,000 – £38,000 per annum based upon experience….
